A church was founded by Frank and Ada Conley. In 1936 they began having meetings in the old store front in downtown Marysville. During 1938 the church moved to Bull Track in Linda. The church was first built on Grand Avenue in Linda and then later the building was moved across the street to the corner of Glendhill and Grand Avenue. The church was named Emmanuel Gospel Tabernacle. Some of the early pastors were Pat Yarbrough, Lavern Beamen and Art Hanson. (Frank and Ada Conley pictured above.)

 In September 1961, a young preacher from Pennsylvania named David Archie Webb became pastor. He was pastor until Sept. 1969. During the next few years Don Hughes, Earl McDaniels, and Buddy Holder were short term pastor's. In September 1973 Archie and Naomie Webb returned to Emmanuel Gospel Tabernacle with their four daughters. Pastor Webb had been the pastor of the congregation thirty-one years. In Feb 1974,  a miracle took place. During a time when churches were divided, two congregations merged and became one. Emmanuel Gospel Tabernacle and Faith Tabernacle became Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle.

Cone and Louis Reeau (pictured above) were devoted to loving and helping people that others thought were unworthy to help. In 1961, they founded Faith Tabernacle on Feather River Blvd. Hans and Gladys Rasmussen were pastor's of Faith Tabernacle from 1970 until the church merger in 1974.

Out growing the original buildings a new sanctuary was built in 1981. If you could swing a hammer you were enlisted to work.  This building is a result of the congregation pulling together.

After spending ten years as Missionary's to Mexico, Sterley and Mody Davis Joined the staff as associate pastor in September 1985. After the death of Pastor Archie Webb in November of 1998, Sterley Davis took over pastor of Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle.
